Rep. Dan Griffey fights for public safety as majority seeks expansion of traffic safety cameras

During debate on House Bill 2384, to expand and make permanent the use of traffic safety cameras by cities and counties in Washington state, Rep. Dan Griffey, R-Allyn, speaks in favor of an amendment to improve public safety by allowing law enforcement to access footage of criminal acts if they get a warrant. Griffey opposed the expansion of the cameras in general, but argued if Washington is going to keep using the cameras for traffic safety it must use them to also support police and public safety, and to hold criminals accountable.
