Rep. Griffey tells KVI the restrictive GMA is destroying housing supply

Rep. Dan Griffey, R-Allyn, talks with KVI’s John Carlson about House Bill 1782 being championed by Gov. Jay Inslee, which would require cities of more than 20,000 to allow small multi-family housing in areas traditionally dedicated to single-family housing. Griffey says the Growth Management Act, which guides this policy, is hurting housing supply. He says local government and landowners in both rural and urban areas should be able to decide which types of housing are developed, and not the state.
