About Rep. Dan Griffey
Dan Griffey began his career of service as a volunteer firefighter at the age of 16 and, at the time, was the youngest EMT in Washington state. He continues now professionally as a lieutenant firefighter.
Dedicated to community service, Dan has been a volunteer for United Way, Habitat for Humanity, and Wild Felid Advocacy Center, handed out toys during the Terry Bear Brigade, and served community meals at St. David’s in Shelton. He is also a member of the Mason County Historical Society.
Dan has been married to his wife, Dinah, for more than 20 years. The Griffeys have three daughters and two grandchildren. You can find them volunteering in the community, digging up clams, hiking the forest trails and cheering on the Seahawks.
